A Complete Guide To Superbonder For Lash Extensions - eslashes

Chances are if you’re in the lash industry you’ve heard of the lash sealant product called superbonder. It’s rapidly becoming a must-have in so many lash technician’s salons. In this article we’ll be going over what it is, how to use it, how it works, and why it’s so dang popular.

If you don’t already know, you may be wondering “what is super bonder for lash extensions?”

What is Superbonder for eyelash extensions?

Super bonder is a lash sealant product that forces the humidity out of the bonding points of lash glue. It’s a lash sealant that is applied at the end of a lash service. The purpose of it is to cure the lash glue fully, in a quick amount of time. It also cures the glue without “shock curing” it, adds flexibility to the bond, increasing retention, and reduces fumes and irritants around the clients’ eyes. This one little product does a LOT!

How long does lash glue take to cure?

Lash adhesive normally takes up to 24 hours to cure completely. This can be such a pain for clients who want to get on with their lives and don’t want to worry about keeping them dry. With the help of superbonder lash sealant, clients can wet their lashes immediately after the appointment. It’s such a game changer!

How do you use superbonder for lash extensions?

One of the best things about superbonder is how easy it is to use. There are a few minutes of waiting during the application of superbonder. We all know lash artists don’t actually have any free time – but this waiting period is perfect to clean up a little and start preparing for your next appointment. It’s a win-win!

  1. After applying your final lash extension, wait two minutes.
  2. Next, squeeze one small drop onto a microfibre brush and apply a small amount of Superbonder along the bonding point of the glue. Allow your client’s lashes to fully air dry.
  3. Now, wait three minutes. After the three minutes are up, the bond will have completely sealed and the lashes are safe to get wet! Super bonder instantly polymerizes the adhesive, locking in fumes that can cause irritation and sensitivity.

Does lash superbonder work?

Lash extension superbonder adds flexibility, reduces fumes and creates better retention. But don’t take my word for it! Head on over to the eslashes Instagram page on highlights to see what customers are saying about this lash sealant product.

Is there anything else I should know about superbonder for lash extensions?

Super bonder is for use by trained eyelash extension professionals only. This is not a product to use at home. Make sure to use the product sparingly, as you don’t want it leaking into the client’s eye or getting on their skin. The goal is to get the perfect of lash sealant on each of the bonding points of the lash glue.

Can you use a nanomister and a bonder?

Absolutely! Although it’s not necessary to use the nanomister when using a bonder, they can be used together. The nanomister can be very soothing and relaxing, especially for those clients with sensitive eyes. First, follow the steps for the superbonder, wait two minutes then complete the service with your nanomister.
